01 — Install

Everything we install

Take one, take all eight. Most builds end up somewhere in the middle.

Starlight headliner

Real fiber optic, pulled through the liner one strand at a time and trimmed flush with the fabric. Star count is set by the roof, not by a menu — a coupe and a full-size SUV need very different numbers to read equally full.

  • 800–2,000 stars
  • Twinkle
  • Shooting stars
  • Phone control

Ambient lighting

Dash, doors, console and footwells — one continuous line down in the trim gap, so you see the light and never the strip. Moonroof and panoramic openings get traced too, so the glass reads as part of the ceiling instead of a hole in it.

  • Dash
  • Doors
  • Console & footwells
  • Moonroof surround
  • Up to 3 zones

Blackout kits

Quoted per vehicle. Tell us what you're driving and what you want blacked out, and it comes back as one number with the rest of the work.

Suede headliner

The board rewrapped in black suede before the fiber goes in. It's the difference between stars on a gray ceiling and stars on a night sky — if the budget only stretches to one upgrade, this is the one.

  • Full board
  • Sunroof & moonroof surrounds
  • Flush edges

Suede pillars

A, B and C pillars wrapped to match, so the dark stops at the windows instead of at the edge of the headliner board. Done together with the roof, the whole cabin reads as one piece.

  • A, B & C pillars
  • Grab handles
  • Matched to the headliner

Suede visors

Visors and the surround around them — usually the last light-gray pieces left in the cabin once the roof and pillars are done, and the ones you look straight at every time you drive.

  • Both visors
  • Visor surround
  • Matched suede

Rock lights

LED pods mounted under the body and up in the wheel wells, throwing color down onto the ground and across the tires. Sealed for an Arizona summer and whatever the road throws at them.

  • Wheel wells
  • Under body
  • Rockers
  • Phone control

Audio & LED track bars

Track bars built for trucks — speakers, amp and an LED bar mounted on one rail behind the cab, wired in clean and run off the same phone as the rest of the lighting. Built to the bed, not bolted on out of a box.

  • Track bar
  • Amp & speakers
  • LED bar

02 — Process

How it runs

Four steps from the first message to driving it out lit.

  1. 01

Send the vehicle and a photo of the roof

Year, make, model, and one picture looking straight up. Solid, sunroof, moonroof or panoramic changes the whole layout, so that photo does most of the work. You get a real number back — labor and materials in one figure, not a range.

  2. 02

    Lock the date

Tell us when it can be without you and we hold it. You'll know before you commit whether yours is a one-day job or a two-day one, because a 2,000-star roof with suede is not a 900-star roof.

  3. 03

    Headliner out, fiber in

The liner and pillar trim come out in one piece. If it's getting suede, it gets wrapped on the bench first. Every strand is pulled from the back, glued off and routed to an engine mounted somewhere dry and reachable — then it all goes back on factory clips.

  4. 04

    Pick it up lit

Before you leave we set the scenes on your phone together: the daily color, the brightness you want at night, and the one you turn on when somebody asks to see it.

04 — Questions

Before you book

Everything people ask before they hand the keys over.

Does pulling the headliner wreck it?

No — it's built to come out. The board unclips, the fiber gets pulled through from the back where nobody sees it, and every strand is trimmed flush with the fabric. Once it's back in you can't tell it ever left until the lights come on.

Will it work on mine?

Almost certainly. What decides the job is the roof, not the badge — solid, sunroof, moonroof and panoramic all lay out differently, and that's what changes the star count and the routing. Send the year, make and model with a photo looking straight up and you'll know exactly what yours takes before you commit to anything.

How many stars does my roof take?

The roof decides, not a package. A small hatchback and a long-wheelbase SUV need very different counts to look equally full, and a moonroof cutout changes where stars can go at all. Send the photo and you'll get the number for yours.

What's actually in the price?

Labor and materials, in one number. Fiber, engine, wiring, suede if you're having it, and the install. Nothing gets added on at pickup.

Do I need the suede?

Not required, but it changes the result more than anything else on the list. Light gray factory cloth washes the stars out; black suede gives them something to sit against. If the budget only stretches to one upgrade, this is the one.

Can you see them during the day?

Yes — quieter than at night, but they're there. Fiber optic puts out real light rather than a printed sparkle, so a lit roof still reads with the doors open in the sun.

Will it drain my battery?

Not when it's wired right. Power gets tapped to a switched source, so the whole system dies with the ignition instead of sitting live off an always-on circuit overnight.

What if a star goes out later?

Bring it back. Fiber doesn't burn out the way an LED does — a dead star is nearly always the engine or a connection at the engine end, and both are quick to sort.

How long does it take?

Depends on the count. A straightforward 1,000-star roof is a day. Two thousand stars with suede and three ambient zones is closer to 27 hours on the bench, which is a two-day drop-off. You'll know which one yours is before you book.
